Historic Deerfield Museum Houses
Shown below are just a few examples of some of the beautiful houses
that you will experience when visiting Historic Deerfield.
 
                              

The Frary House
- Colonial Revival home of preservationist Charlotte Alice Baker, restored in the 1890's, and filled with numerous New England antiques, neeedlework, ironware, and basketry.

                             

The Ashley House - Home of Jonathan Ashley, Deerield's 18th-century minister. Built in 1730, the house displays English ceramics and furnishings of the Connecticut Valley elite.

                             

The Dwight House - Moved from Springfield, Massachusetts, this 1754 house of an 18th century merchant contains numerous examples of Boston and Connecticut River Valley furniture, and English ceramics.









Historic Deerfield House Facts

The 13 Museum Houses date from 1720 to 1850, and display more than 25,000 objects made or used in America from 1600 to 1900.
