Open Hearth Cooking Demonstrations @ Deerfield

Ever wonder how colonial settlers prepared food without microwaves, refrigerators, grocery stores or pizza delivery? Join us on Saturdays in July to experience it for yourself with Open Hearth Cooking demonstrations at Historic Deerfield!

A Special Occasion - Food and Drink for Celebrations

Saturdays from Jul 7-28, 2018 9:30 AM-4:00 PM, Hall Tavern Kitchen

Come and watch hearth cooks prepare a different “celebratory” food or beverage each Saturday in July. Learn how early New Englanders marked special events like weddings or holidays, even elections, with special food and drink. Note: fire will be lit weather permitting.
