Cartographic Connections: Investigating and Collecting Antique Maps

April 25, 2009
9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Antique maps provide a window on the progression of geographical knowledge over time, while also reflecting contemporary views of the world. The convergence of art, history, and geography found in early maps makes them a desirable collectible. This one-day forum offers an examination of the “look and feel” of early maps, and strategies for evaluating and collecting them. Click here to view and download a flyer and registration form.  For more information or registration please call 413 775-7179, or e-mail events [at] historic-deerfield [dot] org
