"Edible Heirlooms" Family Activities 2012

Learn about heirloom vegetables and have fun outdoors as you help us plant and tend the History Workshop Garden.  Find out what makes something an “heirloom,” and learn about some of the vegetables that were important to the diet of early New Englanders.  You can plant a seed to take home, make a trellis out of natural materials to help your plant grow, and also take away a recipe booklet for your harvest.  Included with general admission.
