Hadley Sampler: An Anniversary Celebration

The town of Hadley, Massachusetts is celebrating its 350th Anniversary and to help observe this occasion, Historic Deerfield will showcase objects from the town. A wide variety of objects will be on view in the exhibition including a Chinese porcelain punch bowl owned by Charles Phelps, Jr. and Elizabeth Porter Phelps of Forty Acres; a watercolor family register made by Ebenezer W. Kellogg in 1826 when he was just 11 years old; and a tall case clock with the works made by silversmith and clockmaker Elijah Yeomans of Hadley.  Hadley Sampler: An Anniversary Celebration is on view at the Flynt Center of Early New England Life through January 31, 2010.  Included with general admission.
