The Lost Art of Letter Writing

March 28, 2009, repeats every Sunday and every Saturday until April 26, 2009 except April 12, 2009.
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
History Workshop

During this weekend activity, everyone will write and send a special hand-crafted letter. So much of what we know about the past has been learned from letters. Letters were thoughtfully written, read, re-read, treasured, and kept. Today, letter writing is a lost art replaced by e-mail and cell phones. During our month-long program theme, you can learn more about letter writing as you make time to write that “special letter” using a quill pen and special paper. Your letter will be sealed with sealing wax. Participants should bring the address of a special recipient. Included with general admission.  Drop in anytime.
