Visitor Center at Hall Tavern - Kitchen

Come learn about the role of chocolate in colonial Deerfield. Chocolate was consumed primarily as a nourishing, calorie-rich breakfast beverage in the 18th century. Our open-hearth cooks will prepare hot chocolate using American Heritage ChocolateĀ©, which captures the form and flavor of 18th-century chocolate which contains spices and retains the cocoa butter. Visitors may try a taste of American Heritage Hot Chocolate DrinkĀ©, which they can also purchase at our Museum Store. Included with general admission.
