Winter Play Day: Colonial Toys and Games

March 9, 201310:00 am - 4:30 pm

History Workshop

Make a colonial game on Saturday, March 9. Children in colonial times worked hard but they still had time for play. Have fun with games from long ago and make your own toy to take home.

At the History Workshop, visitors can also try on 18th century dress-up clothing, do some weaving and wool carding, play in our militia tent, and enjoy a pretend tea party in our parlor. There are wooden blocks and toy animals for the very young and a quiet book nook for all ages.

This program is included with Winter General Admission, please be sure to get your admission ticket at the Flynt Center of Early New England Life.
