Cold winter weather can make it difficult to play outside, so come and join us at the History Workshop for some indoor fun. Try on 18th-century dress-up clothing, do some weaving and wool carding, play in our militia tent, and enjoy a pretend tea party in our parlor. There are wooden blocks and toy animals for the very young and a quiet book nook for all ages.
Quill pen writing will be a featured activity on Saturday, February 9. Learn about the history of quill pens and read some famous old letters. Use a quill pen to write a letter, make your own envelope, seal it with sealing wax and mail it in Deerfield.
This program is included with Winter General Admission, please be sure to get your admission ticket at the Flynt Center of Early New England Life.
