The Marietta Stebbins sampler in Historic Deerfield’s collection belongs to an exciting group of schoolgirl embroidery made in the Deerfield area of Western Massachusetts during the late-18th and early-19th centuries. This reproduction, made by The Examplarery, is worked on 28-count linen and measures 9” x X 10.5” h. Kit contains charted directions, 28-count natural linen, 2 needles, and floss.
