Our daily featured tour presents a guided exploration of one of the following topics. Beginning at 2 p.m. in the Visitors Center. Included with paid admission. 

Handmade in New England 

Learn about the art and industry of furniture making in colonial New England in this short guided tour of Historic Deerfield’s furniture gallery. Focusing on four unique pieces from our extensive collection, this tour will examine some of the trademarks and traditions of early American furniture design in the Connecticut River Valley.

Architecture Detective

Learn about architecture, preservation activities and period furnishings on this walking tour of the remarkable museum houses of Historic Deerfield’s North end. Our trained guides will reveal the history of American architectural design and point out the defining characteristics of architectural styles dating from the 18th and 19th centuries.
