Come to Historic Deerfield and be “swept away” by Master Broom Maker, Dennis Picard, as he demonstrates and interprets traditional broom making. He will handcraft brooms in the way they were made during the late 18th- and early 19th-century in the Connecticut River valley. Visitors can learn about important local history of brooms, see our crop of broom corn and experience the fun of sweeping with a newly made broom!
At the History Workshop. Included with admission. Stop by anytime.
