Concert: Harvest Songs and Stories for Friday the 13th with Tim Eriksen

Join Historic Deerfield’s musician-in-residence Tim Eriksen for a memorable night of music and stories. While Friday the 13th conjures images of black cats and superstitions, this night will be filled with the ethereal sounds of Tim Eriksen’s stylings and musings. Tim is acclaimed for transforming American tradition with his startling interpretations of ballads, love songs, shape-note gospel, and dance tunes from New England and Southern Appalachia. He combines goosebump-inducing vocals with inventive accompaniment on banjo, fiddle, guitar, and bajo sexto—a twelve-string Mexican acoustic bass—creating a distinctive hardcore Americana sound.
