ACCOUNTANT

The Accountant in the Business Office is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, cash deposits, the corporate credit card program, and remittance of sales and use taxes.  The Accountant also prepares certain account reconciliations and analyses.  The role is cross trained to perform human resources and payroll functions as needed. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a starting salary range of $42,000-46,000 per year.

ASSISTANT TUTOR

The Assistant Tutor position provides program support to the Director of the Summer Fellowship Program and mentors seven undergraduate fellows. The Fellowship Program runs for nine weeks over the summer from early June to early August, and the Assistant Tutor will need to arrive in Deerfield approximately one week earlier (May 27) for orientation and preparation and to stay a week after for Program wrap-up (August 9), constituting about 11 weeks on site. This position reports to the Director of Academic Programs. This is a non-benefit eligible position with compensation equal to $5,500.00 for the 11-week period. Furnished accommodations and all meals are included.

COLLECTIONS CARE TECHNICIAN

Historic Deerfield seeks an energetic, full-time Collections Care Technician to assist in the care and management of Historic Deerfield’s museum houses and decorative arts collections.  This position is primarily responsible for the cleaning, monitoring, and long-term preservation of Historic Deerfield’s collections within the museum buildings and storage areas. The Collections Care Technician reports to the Collections Manager and is a full-time (35-hours per week),  non-exempt position. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a strong interest in collections management, conservation, or decorative arts. This position has a starting salary range of $31,000-33,000 per year.

DIGITAL ASSETS COORDINATOR

Historic Deerfield seeks a Digital Assets Coordinator/ Museum Photographer to join the Curatorial Department staff. This position is responsible for the creation and management of digital images with primary focus on the photography of the museum collection, exhibitions, museum building exteriors and interiors, and town landscapes. The role also includes overseeing the film and digital photo assets housed within the Curatorial Department, and facilitating their use by the public and museum staff. The Digital Assets Coordinator/ Museum Photographer supports Historic Deerfield’s commitment to making the museum collection widely accessible through its online database and print and digital publications. Reporting to the Collections Manager, this role is a full-time, benefited position (35 hours per week) with a starting salary of $40,000 – $42,000.

VISITOR SERVICES ASSOCIATE

Visitor Services Associates provide exceptional customer service and front-of-house experiences to Historic Deerfield’s visiting public at two separate ticketing sites. Visitor Services Associates provide orientation information, wayfinding, membership information, and ticket sales to Historic Deerfield’s visitors. Reporting to the Lead Visitor Services Associate, this role is a part-time, in-person, un-benefitted position with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour, 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., excluding one half hour for lunch. Some weekend hours may be required.
