Special Guest Cook, Angela Marcellino, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and author of The True Natives of Cape Cod and their Foodways, will be our guest cook for the day. Angela will prepare several of the dishes from her cookbook exploring food, identity, and place in New England.

Late fall is a great time to bake pies. Pie was a common staple in the early New England kitchen. It was served as part of the meal and not as a dessert. Come visit with our open hearth cook and see what pies are on the menu!

Hands-On Hearth Cooking Workshop: Let’s Bake!

November is a great time to learn some new recipes for the winter baking season! Come to this workshop to learn how to use a bake kettle and the beehive oven. Participants will help to make a savory pie, a sweet cake, and a special biscuit in each session.
Registration fee is $75 per person, $70 for members. Size limit of 8 participants. Recommended for ages 16 and up.
