Let’s Stop for Breakfast!

September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m. each day at Hall Tavern Kitchen

Taverns were places to stop for a quick meal while traveling—including breakfast! Our hearth cooks will prepare dishes such as bread and butter, eggs, steak, or cheesecakes. See what’s on the menu for breakfast in the early 19th century, then take a tour of Barnard Tavern.

Included with general admission.

Hands-On Hearth Cooking Workshop: Game Dinner

November 4 and 11 from 4–8 p.m. at Hall Tavern

Early New Englanders supplemented their meat supply with wild game such as turkey, rabbit, squirrel, bear, and venison. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore period recipes using game and eat one as the main course.
