Learn about the changes in fireplace and cookery techniques on a lively guided tour of the kitchens in Hall Tavern (1780s), Sheldon House (early 1800s), and Williams House (1816). See how fireplaces and bake ovens changed over time and learn about cooking on an iron cookstove.

During October, Hall Tavern will be filled with ghosts of the Revolution, and we invite you to come and meet them—at the bar, in the parlor, and by the fire in the kitchen. Enjoy hot mulled cider, hear some ghost stories, and when you are ready, a guide will take you outside into the darkness to meet some ghosts from the Stebbins and Williams families.
